Volte Equestrian @ Val's Training Center, offers 120 acres in beautiful Princeton, Minnesota, from 60 acres of hay, to pastures, trails, arenas and paddocks. The home place has an heated indoor arena and an outdoor regulation Dressage arena, our goal is for the best quality care for horses, from our management, veterinary, farrier and riders.

Val has been training, coaching riders and judging for the past 30 years. Val started with a career in Western and Hunt Seat riding, but for the past 20 years she has been working on her Dressage skills. In 2002, Val received her USDF riders silver medal at the USDF Convention in Portland, Oregon. Val and Llyric will start the 2004 season riding at Intermediare II, and competing in the Musical Freestyle.

Val has been coaching riders in many disciplines of riding. Dressage is used as a basis for all. Students have gone on to win state wide and national titles in hunt seat, saddle seat, western, carriage driving, and dressage. As an open show judge, Val has a twenty year history judging horses from minis to draft horses and barrel racers to driving horses.

Coaching judging teams has been a learning opportunity for all students, as well as coach. Val has coached teams at the Arabian Nationals, winning a grand champion and reserve grand champion individual title and reserve champion team title and numerous other placings at the Morgan Grand Nationals, the solid gold futurity, and the Quarter Horse Congress with placings in the top eight several times.

For 26 years our facility has been known as "Val's Training Center" but in 2002 after Larry's retirement from trucking, a new name was in order.  We are now known as "Volte Equestrian".  For many years, Larry has been the breeding manager and known as the "Hay God", we raise the best hay around. Larry is the handler for our stallion Galapard.  Since his retirement, Larry has taken on a larger role with the care and training of the young horses, presently with six Galapard foals and several young horses, from halter training to starting (backing) the young horses.

Larry will be starting the 2004 show season at First Level Dressage with Overraska, a 7 year old Swedish Warmblood gelding sired by Galapard 9038.
