Trakehner

A Swedish Warmblood Filly by Galapard out of a Trakehner mare (Sienna by Mikato). Galeah is doing great. She ended up reserve champion in Zone 4 and 10th in the nation.  She's coming along nicely under saddle. So far, Leigh Ann, my daughter, is the only one to have ridden her. Our trainer says we may not have to get her professionally started because she's so easy to work with. We ride her only twice a week, mostly trotting but she has cantered 3 times so far. She's so easy and balanced and has never bucked or resisted in any way.

It is interesting to point out that at the show where Galeah was pinned in first place, there was a panel of judges including Melanie Smith-Taylor, former USET and Olympic medalist. Galeah's Owner's are Amy Black and daughter Leigh Ann (in the above picture with Galeah).
