Galahad

Galahad a gelding, by Galapard out of Destiny an Oldenburg mare by Pando, was born in 1997, and he stands 16.3 hands high.  "Gali" is a pleasure to work with and be around, has a super work ethic/super athleticism, and very much so enjoys his peppermints after his rides. He is the lover of the barn. His big ears and kind eye are his trademark.  He is being ridden by Carrie Calder and owned by Deborah Erspamer, and bred by Kate Phillips.

Gali will show First/Second Level in 2005 with Carrie Calder. 

2006 Update:  We attended a show this past weekend.  Gali's first time ever doing First 3 and 4.  On First Level test 3, we got a 70.000%!  And on First 4^th level, we got a 68%!  He was such a good boy.  He loved it.  I was aiming for in the %60's! Well he above and beyond exceeded my expectations.  I am very proud of him.  We have started schooling counter canter etc, and hope to be in the ring next year at Second Level. 

2008 Update: He's doing wonderful!  We spent the summer of 2007 at our trainers, Keri Erickson.  We worked hard at Second Level, very hard.  We pulled off scores from 65%-%73 on the NWDA Circuit.  He amazed me with his effort, and his talent very much blossomed.  We ended the year with 2007 Jack Pine Circuit Champion for Second Level and Above (Open, AA, and JR/YR), we had the highest average of everyone in all of the levels.  Let's just say, I was a tad proud of "my" boy!  We also had won the 2006 Jack Pine Circuit Champion at First Level. 

This year Gali is going to get an easy summer, I am breeding a mare to Schroeder, and I can't afford to get him up into Third, so we will just school our butts off over the summer maybe doing a couple of shows, and debut at Third Level in 2009.
